Tenant Information

PERMITTED PAYMENTS for Tenancies signed on or after 1st June 2019

The Tenants Fees Act prevents landlords and their agents from requiring tenants to make any payment as a condition of granting, renewing or continuing a tenancy apart from:
  • Rent
  • A capped refundable Tenancy Deposit (5 week’s rent)
  • A capped refundable Holding Deposit (1 week’s rent)
  • Payments in the event of a default (reasonable cost’s) 
  • Payment on variation, assignment  or novation (£50 incl. VAT per agreed variation)
  • Payment on termination (surrender) of a tenancy (landlord’s costs in re-letting the property as well as all rent due under the tenancy until the start date of the replacement tenancy)
  • Payments in respect of Council Tax
  • Payments for utilities (electricity, gas or other fuel, water or sewage)
  • Payments for a television licence
  • Communication services (telephone other than a mobile telephone; the internet; cable television, satellite television)
  • Green Deal charge

Bluerow Homes Limited is part of Propertymark Client Money Protection Scheme (CMP)

Fee's chargeable as per tenancy agreement terms stated within contracts for all Statutory and contractual periodic's, chargeable until 31st May 2020.

Landlord License Application, If in Bluerow’s Name £400 (optional on who applies as NON transferrable)

Rent Guarantee Insurance - from £100 per policy (variable, rent level dependent) - optional

Partially complete End of Year Self Assessment for £30 plus Vat (£33) – Optional

Empty Property Inspection £15 plus Vat (£18) per Visit, Logged for Insurance Purposes – Optional

Portfolio Review Report £100 plus Vat (£120) - Optional
